It is our sincere hope that this site will help reunite owners with their animals. You've heard the expression, "A picture is worth a thousand words." We feel that being able to see a photo of an animal is much better than reading, "Lost...small brown dog....", etc. , or trying to see what an animal looks like from a blotchy photocopy on a telephone pole. Of course, we encourage owners to pursue every possible avenue to recover their lost animals. If you've lost an animal, even if you submit a listing to this site, you should still put a free, three-day ad in the Record Searchlight, and call the animal shelters (See Shelters Page for phone numbers).

We are a "Mom & Pop" operation. We're going to attempt to always have someone available to process and load listings, but there may be some times when we are not able to line up a substitute. Please check the Bulletin Page if your listing does not seem to be getting uploaded in a timely manner. The Bulletin Page will tell you if we're having equipment problems, if we're out of town (Yes,....we do take a vacation once in a while!), or if some other factor is affecting our ability to do what we're here for. We'll put advance notice on the Bulletin Page whenever possible if we know we're not going to be here for some reason.

If you encounter any problems navigating this site, please e-mail us. We would like to know ASAP if we have a non-functioning link or other mechanical problem (poor graphics, etc.).

In the future, we hope to be able to at least dip into the unwanted animal problem and help with getting these animals adopted. As you are probably aware, this is a HUGE problem, necessitating the slaughter of thousands of animals every year. We're trying to arrange for the shelters to have digital cameras on hand so they can take photos we can process.

IF ANY INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP WOULD LIKE TO DONATE A CAMERA TO ONE OF THE SHELTERS, PLEASE DROP US A NOTE OR AN E-MAIL.

There is one particular camera that stores images on regular floppies that would be well suited for this purpose. Depending on your perspective, they are not even outrageously expensive....less than $500. Of course, the floppies are inexpensive and can be used over and over, making this a long-term and economical investment.

You've probably all noticed that this site is a little heavy on the cat graphics. We do have three cats and no dogs (at the moment). One reason is that we haven't found all that many dog graphics we like, and another is that the graphics we found at CAT STUFF (see link on Home Page) are so-oo great! So, here's another, "THANK YOU, GLENDA MOORE!"
floating around out here on the Net (her name just seems to pop up all over the place!).
